OYCA is a youth-led initiative dedicated to amplifying the voices of students in local government. We believe that young people are not just the leaders of tomorrow, they are stakeholders today. Our organization was founded to address the lack of youth representation in city-level policy decisions across Ohio. By building structured youth councils in Ohio's major cities, we are creating a pipeline for students to contribute ideas, influence local change, and gain meaningful civic experience.

Each council is composed of passionate high school students who work directly with city officials to identify the needs of their peers and advocate for solutions. With every chapter, we’re growing a network of youth who care deeply about public service and are ready to shape their communities from the ground up.
